How PresentForMe works

Three steps for the person making the list, no sign-up for the people receiving it. Here is everything that happens in between.

The three steps

  1. 1

    Build your list

Paste a product link and the entry fills itself in — we pull the name, the price and the picture from the shop page. Any site works, and a gift without a link you simply write out yourself.

    • No limit on how many lists or how many gifts.
    • Mark what you actually want, so the giver knows where to start.
    • Size, colour, model: the notes that usually stay buried in a group chat.
  2. 2

    Share the link

Your list becomes one address, to send over WhatsApp, by email or wherever you like. Whoever opens it sees the gifts and nothing else: no sign-up, no app to install.

    • One link, which you can regenerate or revoke whenever you want.
    • Whoever receives it never sees your personal details.
    • The same list works for a birthday, for Christmas and for a graduation.
  3. 3

    Get the right gift

In the signed-in area, people who already have access to the wishlist can reserve a gift with a free account. From then on other authorized people see it is spoken for. You do not: on your list nothing changes.

    • No duplicates, because two people never buy the same thing.
    • We tell you something moved, without telling you what.
    • Whoever reserved stays anonymous, even after the party.

From both sides

Gifting takes two people. Each one sees what they need, and nothing more.

For the person making the list

  • Ask for what you really want without having to say it out loud.
  • You never know who reserved what, so the surprise survives.
  • Add and remove gifts whenever you like, even the day before.

For the person giving

  • You know what will land, and you don't have to guess.
  • You see straight away what someone else has already taken.
  • If you already have access to the wishlist, you reserve in the signed-in area with a free account.

The surprise survives

This is the rule everything else rests on: whoever owns the list never sees the reservations. It is not an interface courtesy — the data does not leave the server towards anyone who should not see it.

It holds for notifications too: we tell you something moved, never what.

Quick questions

Does someone opening my list have to sign up?

No. The public link opens a view of the gifts in any browser without an account, but it does not allow reservations. Reservations are available in the signed-in area only to people who already have access to the wishlist and use a free account.

Can I see who reserved one of my gifts?

No, never. No reservation ever shows on your own list: it is the rule that saves the surprise, and it has no exceptions.

Does it have to be an Amazon link?

No. It works with a link from any online shop, and you can also write a gift out by hand.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Every feature is free, with no hidden limits and no credit card.
